Monica Ene-Pietrosanu is a senior engineering leader with experience in managing geo-distributed teams and complex software research and development projects. She is currently working as a Software Engineering Director with the Intel Cloud and Enterprise group. Monica joined Intel in 2011 as the General Manager for the Intel Romania Software Development Center, driving the ramp-up of this new Intel site in Europe, overseeing the overall center’s activities, liaising with key players in the IT industry and representing Intel in relationship with the public and academic environment. Prior to Intel, Monica worked for 13 years with Microsoft, in the USA and in Romania where she led the Microsoft EMEA Global Technical Support Center ramp-up and operations in Bucharest. Monica holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from University “Politehnica” of Bucharest as well as five US patents related to security and encryption technologies. She is married to Mihai, they have two boys, and they are now living in Portland, OR.
